Heston’s 80s Feast with Breville

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010 at 1:49 pm

We strongly suggest that all Breville fans tune into Channel 4 at 9pm tonight (Tuesday 11th May 2010) for ‘Heston’s 80s Feast’!

Leading chef Heston Blumenthal revisits the 80s, creating a feast that incorporates the tastes of the decade with a little help from the Breville team. Together with Heston, Breville created the world’s largest sandwich toaster and tested out a variety of fillings from ham and cheese to the wackier curried banana!

Heston then goes on to create gourmet toasties for his celebrity guests to enjoy as part of his experimental 80s feast.

So for lots of Breville action and a fun look at the role Breville played in the tastes of the 80’s tune into Channel 4 at 9pm or Channel 4 + 1 at 10pm.

If you have any Breville memories or any weird and wacky fillings to share then get commenting below and let us know all about your adventures with Breville!

Hi James, naturally I found this quite amusing. Such an outstanding achievement by Breville together with Heston, producing such an amazing appliance! Many members of the club tuned in & shared their comments on Facebook. I have already added the link & picture of the beast to our page.

I am now thinking Heston as special guest chef at the Breville-off in June! ITV chef Dean Edwards unfortunately cannot make the event following his appearance with us at Easter so Heston would be the perfect replacement wouldn’t ya say??

Loved the 80s themed night bought back memories of my Breville toaster, Best thing is its still in working order with recipes as well, bought a new one few years ago as it is a bit greasy and don’t know how to get it hygienically clean again.New one just doesn’t cut and seal like the original. Thanks for the memories.
