Works brilliantly
I have never used one of these, and wasn’t sure what to expect, thankfully though I have been pleasantly surprised.
In the box you get the blender, blade, 2 lids and 2 large bottles. In the instructions is some recipes which are really helpful.
I decided to make a smoothie using strawberry, raspberries, blueberries, yogurt and honey. Once ingredients are in you then put the blade on and turn upside down. There is an arrow on the side of the blade, you line this up with the one on the blender and turn until clicked in. Then you can blend. You have to hold the button down for it to blend, so you can do it as much as needed. Now what I came to realise afterwards is that you need to put enough stuff in to fill the bottle otherwise it doesn’t mix fully. I had to shake and re blend as I hadn’t put enough in the bottle.
The smoothie was great though, it was mostly smooth, very few bits and tasted great.
This is a fantastic blender, it has made such a difference to me as I am always busy, I can take it with me on the go.
I am very impressed with it, its allowing me to be healthier and can be used by all the family. I would highly recommend it.

The bottles are utter rubbish
Only had mine a couple of months and the catch on both bottles have snapped off. I've been in touch with Breville but unless I provide the receipt or label they won't replace them . Not sure about anyone else, but if I kept the receipts, labels and boxes for everything I'd bought, I'd need another shed to keep them all in.
Breville, it's obviously a duff product, so do the decent thing before a child chokes on a bit of broken plastic and refund, recall or replace with something better.
Would I recommend this to anyone...definitely not, not until they replace the bottles

Perfect blender
This is such a great little blender for all your blending needs. At the push of a button it blends in no time. I have used this with fresh/frozen fruit, protein powder, ice cream, ice and blends with ease. I love the fact that the blades blend ice as some other blenders don't have the capability to blend ice. This is because this blender is very powerful. There's an easy twist in motion with the bottle in order to blend. And the bottles and blades are so easy to clean. The bottles themselves are very sleek with an easy open cap. I would highly recommend this blender to anyone who wishes to blend stuff on a daily basis

Broke after a week!
I bought this product from breville via Amazon directly and I'm highly disappointed. After a small amount of use the blender attachment is jammed on the bottle without anyway to get it off. It is not cross threaded or anything like that, it is just jammed. I have had 4 other bigger and burlier individuals attempt to screw the attachment off with no luck. I have even tried WD-40 to try and loosen it. Still no luck. The blade is stuck in one of the bottles, and the cost to replace a blade and bottle is almost as much as just getting a whole new set. Very unhappy customer.

Not as good as I'd hoped
The blender states it crushes ice so frozen fruit should be an absolute breeze, unfortunately it really struggled with making frozen fruit smoothies.
At one point the base started to smell like burning and still left my smoothie lumpy.
Breville tend to be super reliable but this time not so much.
The only bonus is its nice and compact so can easily be popped in a cupboard.
The bottles are OK, not great and I certainly wouldn't recommend putting them in a bag, they leak at times.
Bottles can be used in a dishwasher safely if you can get the blender working properly.
Maybe I just got a faulty machine?
I'll keep it for light blending work when I don't want to get out the food processor. But if you want nice iced smoothies , spend a bit more for a better one.

The perfect next step in my healthy eating plan
I bought this from my local supermarket in favour of the more expensive juicers that seemed to do exactly the same as the Blend Active. Can honestly say that this cute little green machine has changed my eating habits for the better. I have been using it for 4 weeks now and not only have I lost a few more stubborn pounds but my skin is amazingly clear and I have so much more energy!
The machine itself is small enough to live permanently on my worktop, the blades clean up with a little bit of fairy liquid and a rinse under the hot tap and the bottles are just as easy to clean. I pop them in my bag for work and take one filled with water to the gym. They have never spilled and the slim design makes them easy to carry.
I fully recommend this machine.

Love my Blend Active!
I decided to treat myself to the Blend Active because it seems less cumbersome than dragging out the Kenwood every day to prepare my breakfast or lunch smoothies.
So pleased with my purchase. The blender works very well, crushed ice like it said in the description (unlike some of the other brands).
Would have given 5 stars however the unit is rather noisy. Otherwise it’s a perfect addition to my counter top - well done Breville!!

A perfect blender at an incredible price!
This is a such a fantastic product, especially for the price! I was making a smoothie within a few minutes of getting it out of the box. Very easy to setup and use and it’s great that the blending bottle attachments can quickly be switched to transform into a takeaway drink. I was thrilled to get two bottles and caps which is a great help if I use this daily so there’s always a clean bottle and cap ready for me. I’ve tried with fruit, yogurt and milk but also I made an ice coffee too, really delicious and the milk went frothy and creamy. Really recommend and a fantastic price.

Disappointing
This does not blend frozen fruit. I have tried it twice now and the first time it really struggled but after adding some oat milk it did crush the fruit. Today it’s completely melted the plastic from both the blender unit and the bottle lid. Really disappointing as I’ve only just started using it.

Good blender, Bad bottles
I was recommended this blender over others by friends. The blender itself is great value for money and does the job. However after using it for only 2 weeks my bottles are mouldy under the seal which I can't remove. The worst part is, the bottles are so expensive, it will be cheaper to buy a new blender, which comes with 2 x 600ml bottles, than to purchase two new bottles. Very disappointed. Won't buy again.

Excellent little blender
I love this little blender. Super simple to setup and use. Put the fruit of your choice in one of the two bottles provided, screw the blade on, line up the arrows, twist and press the blend button, done! Sometimes it needs a shake to dislodge large pieces of fruit, but you could cut them down. Also, make sure the blade is screeed tight. One time my daughter didn't do this and when we unscrewed the bottle opened and blended fruit went everywhere. Really useful gadget to get your intake of fruit with loads of recipe options to take advantage of, including some in the provided manual.

Worst Blender
I've bought three of these blenders, and each time, the blade's rubber wears out within 2-3 months, rendering them useless. Initially, I considered the first two instances as rare defects, but it has become clear that this product suffers from a poor design. In contrast, an older model I owned lasted for years without any issues.

Compact and no durability and hard to find parts
I’ve been using this blender for a while now, and unfortunately, I’m really disappointed with its durability. At first, it worked decently, but over time, both the blade assembly and the base coupling have worn out badly. The rubber star gear on the base is completely stripped, and the blade assembly doesn’t engage properly anymore.
I haven’t even used it for extremely tough ingredients – just basic blending tasks – but it still wore down surprisingly fast. I expected it to last longer. Now it’s essentially useless unless I can get replacement parts, which are hard to find.
If you’re looking for a blender that will hold up to regular use, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. This one just doesn’t stand the test of time.

Great Blender, but breaks after a few uses
I use to own an old active blender which I had for years no problem, but the current model is absolutely rubbish! I’m on my 11th blender in a year! But like many the black cog and then bottom on the blender disintegrates. I keep replacing it because it doesn’t take up too much room in the kitchen, and the bottles are ideal for transporting my shakes.
Luckily Sainsbury’s have a 1 year warranty on them so just get them replaced.
Come on breville! It’s about time you sorted this problem out? Surely you’re making a losss on these by now?

Great, whilst it worked!
I love the modern link of this smoothie maker and it worked well for the first few weeks, the rubber seal kept falling out from day 1 and I had to keep pushing it back in by hand, which was quite time consuming. After 3 weeks, the whole thing leaked and I realised, yet again the seal had dissapeared, I found it in the sink but it had broken, so have had to take back as it can't be used.

Great kitchen gadget
As the title suggests, this is a great addition to any gadget loving kitchen. It’s good looking, very simple to use and perhaps understated in its appearance, but functions flawlessly! The fact it comes with 2 bottles and lids is a bonus (having my wife and I, or the two kids!). The only thing I was a little surprised about were the recipe suggestions - I totally appreciate this may be geared to an active household (lots of recipes included protein supplements, for example), you missed a trick because some simple, tasty, “family friendly” suggestions for the kids, or to stave off the current heatwave would have been handy, even cocktails or mocktails perhaps for the summer? - but this doesn’t detract from the efficiency or capability of the product!

Great until broken :(
Used one for months without issues to blend protein, frozen fruit and milk.the plastic on the blade element became damaged and rendered the whole machine beyond repair. I purchased another unit (same but newer model) the bottles are lids are different. You cannot attach an old bottle to the new blade. The machine worked for around 3 days before it again became damaged. Returned for a full refund. if you are blending ice or frozen fruit it's good enough and the parts are too brittle. For fresh fruit and liquid you won't have any issues.

Rubbish item
I bought this to replace a brevill I had had for several years.
Firstly the old bottles do not fit this. So I now have 6 bottles that don’t fit. Never mind I thought. The new bottles look nice. 6 day in and bottle used about 3 times. And the clear plastic catch on the lid broke. I now only have 1 bottle and no where to buy more. Utter crap product. After using the old one for years. Bee I’ll do t even seem to sell the bottles. 2 are not enough for my family. Will buy another make next time. Very disappointed

Gears made of rubber = :(
1 - the clips on the bottles both broke after about a month of use. See other reviews - same thing!
2 - the gears on the spinny bit all broke off this morning halfway through making my smoothie (oat milk, fresh bannana, frozen raspberries and mango).
3 - bottles hard to keep clean as awkward shapes.
Was great while it lasted, but the manufacturing quality is clearly rubbish so you have to buy a replacement every so often. I'm going to return it and spend on a better quality machine with a more powerful motor.

no more starbucks for me
my grand daughter took me on a detour and walked into starbucks she had all in control until i got the bill for 2 large frapuccinno a bill of £9.?? had me thinking after a quick search online it was a simple ice milk and fruit blended with a few flavouring enhancers (such as powdered sugars and vanilla) this was the perfect model for me 2 beakers one ice crushing blender (please note a lot i looked at cant crush ice the weekend will tell when i take a load of natural fruits over and let them play around with it

Super efficient blender that's easy to clean
I've used this blender about 15-20 times since I got it and it's really excellent. I've mainly used it to blend meal replacement powder, with the occasional fruit smoothie, but it's fully blended everything I've thrown at it within 10 seconds, and no lumps.
I especially like the bottle design that comes with it – these make it especially easy to clean as the blending part is a separate attachment, that's rather simple in shape and can be cleaned in the sink quickly.
Couldn't rate it highly enough!

Dreadful!!
My third breville blender has now broke in the past 7 months!! Exactly the same fault happens, the inside fittings disintegrate, smells like burning then stops working! Absolutely disgusted. Will never ever purchase a breville product again.

Rubbish - don't waste your money
I purchased a Blend Active on 3 March 2025 On 26 April, the rubber gears on the blade assembly fragmented leaving rubber particles in the blender base rendering the whole unit useless.

Neat and Tidy
A neat and tidy blender concept, ideal it comes with 2 bottles and lids for ease of use and sharing. Strong blades are great for ice crushing. Also works amazing on making milkshakes and protein shakes. Literally the only downfall for it is that when both bottles are in use there is no safety cap to put over the blade , it looks a bit sharp to be left on the blender on the worktop so it need to be put away - a cover for it would have made it much safer to avoid any accidents
