Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and high performing kettle. This kettle looks amazing- especially when it is in use and the whole of the body as well as the on/off switch glow a gorgeous blue. It boils really quickly and is easy to clean. Other great features are the ergonomic handle, the super fast boil, the removable filter, the under base cord storage so you don't have a long, ugly wire on show and the fact that it is easy to use left or right handed due to the gauge on both sides and the 360 degree swivel. Rated 4 out of 5 by from My second Greville kettle I purchased this kettle to replace Model J.K 147, which I had had for about 6 years. I like these kettles knowing that it is active when it glows blue, which is a good safety measure & they boil very quickly. The handle of the new model is more comfortable to hold & nicely designed. However the spout is now too small & the filter, being stamped from steel makes pouring hopelessly slow. The spout on J K 147 was a better size & the woven mesh filter let the water out quicker. I have now removed the filter from my new kettle & continue to be pleased that I chose Breville again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but doesn't look like the photos once used Looks great out of the box, but once you boil it, the inside of the glass is covered in condensation and the blue LEDs highlight this. It's not too bad, but it's nothing like the marketing photos. Boils quickly. The spout is accurate, but pours slowly. The lid needs to come off to be filled. The LEDs are OK if you like that kind of thing and a bit naff if you don't. The LED in the chrome coloured plastic on/off switch is more of the same. It's ok, but feels a bit cheap in places.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Boils fast with a cool blue illumination A great looking glass and chrome kettle with blue illumination when switched on, although quite heavy. Boils 6-8 cups with a removable easy to clean limescale filter. The lid lifts off completely to refill. Also the instuctions state that it is an energy saving kettle as once boiled (1 litre ) of water will still be at 90 degrees after 5 minutes. I have tested this and found it to be true. Rated 4 out of 5 by from The blue light looks great and it boils pretty qui We love the blue light as the kettle boils and it looks stylishly functional on the kitchen worktop. The removable lid is a plus when filling it from the tap and it doesn't let steam escape like some others that we've used

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with kettle Had the kettle for 4 weeks now and it's been great. Boils quickly and is not too noisy. The design is modern and build solid overall. It pours water well, easy to handle when serving. I like the lid, when filling I find that it's better to take it off. The lead is flexible and a good length. It's also quite light considering it's made of glass with some plastic and metal. The blue light is lovely, second glass kettle I've had that does this, it's a little novelty but it's just nice to look at!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very impressive kettle I went to this kettle after buying a Bosch, then having it replaced, but again the same problem, leaking! Therefore I gave up completely on Bosch. I like the concept of glass, so you can see what is going on, and the blue light which makes it very clear when it's operating. Only one major criticism - why have they abandoned established measures (maximum is 1.7 LITRES) for this nonsense of so-called cups? I use mugs anyway, but would Breville like to say how many litres there are in a cup?!
