Good ToasterBought this for my elderly mother (85). What can you say - it seems to toast evenly, takes a large slice like the Kingsmill Toastie and it's simple to use. I'm pleased that the sides don't get hot and crumbs are easy to remove. I agree with the comments about the lead length - we had to arrange a trailing socket so that it could sit next to the microwave - so a longer lead would be helpful, hence the 4 stars, but otherwise it was a good buy.

Does the JobGood small toaster, takes up little space in small kitchen. Bought last week no obvious problems, having toasted crumpets, bread etc. Wide slots but quite small so if you toast normal sliced bread you will have to cut the end off. Looks stylish and modern.

Lightweight toasterI bought this fir my elderley mum who has Alzheimer's. It is simple to use once you get the toasting setting right. We have it on number 2 as that's just right. The toaster fits warburtons small toastie bread. The downside is that it's not particularly quick to toast on setting 2 but if you set it to 3 it burns. The other negative is it is very lightweight and when u pull the slider lever down to toast, the toaster moves.

not for uk breadThough compact and browns well. Unable to get whole slice of bread in the toaster. Tried lengthways, you have to push lever down and try to push bread in. Not a safe thing to do. Put bread in vertically, 80% toasted, top 20% sticking out, not toasted. Short of pulling the bread out and turning upside down half way through, defeats the object of having an automatic toaster.

Doesn't fit all breadBought this toaster as a cheap replacement for old
Toaster and it seemed alright for the price but does not fit the most well known brands of bread.

Brilliant Compact ToasterThis is probably the best toaster I have ever used. I read some pretty bad reviews about it, but I think people are missing the point that this is a small toaster for kitchens with little room. It is for use with slices from a small loaf. I didn't bother trying it with a large loaf, because clearly it won't be big enough! BUT it cooks so evenly. I was really surprised, given the price. It also looks smart and takes up very little space. Just what I wanted.

good valueCompact basic toaster with eject option and can take wider hand cut bread but top of bread does not toast as above toasting area. Excellent for price.
