Awful ironBought this iron from Curry's as a replacement for an old Breville iron that had had its day.
I bought this as it was recommended and I knew the brand.
It started off well, good solid iron, however, the plate became quite scorched and no amount of cleaning or turning down the settings made a difference. It has maked my clothes due to an area on the plate that seems to catch all the time. What has made me eventually write this review is that I have just ironed a brand new dress and it has caught and burnt a hole in it.
The water leaks from the heel of the iron too. I would have returned it if I had the receipt.
You would be better off using a heated stone to do your ironing! Waste of £65!

Dont buy this Iron - Base plate craksI purchased this iron a few months ago, and it initially worked well. However, after around six months of use, the soleplate—marketed as Breville’s premium technology—began to crack. As a result, water now leaks during ironing.
This is a serious safety concern, as an electrical appliance should never leak water during operation. Unfortunately, I no longer have the receipt, so I’m unable to make a warranty claim.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid Breville irons, as there may be a manufacturing issue with the soleplate.
