BREVILLE® MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY (UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND)
Issued by: Newell Brands UK Limited, Halifax Avenue, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 8SS, United Kingdom (“Breville”) Applicable Territory: United Kingdom and Ireland Document Version: [insert version/date]
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CONSUMERS — BOTH TERRITORIES
This Warranty is a voluntary manufacturer's undertaking given free of charge and is offered in addition to — and entirely separately from — your statutory rights under the law of the country in which you purchased your Breville product. This Warranty does not affect, limit, or replace those statutory rights in any way. Your statutory rights exist against the seller from whom you purchased your product, and they remain fully intact regardless of anything in this Warranty.
Separate statutory rights statements for consumers in the United Kingdom and consumers in Ireland are set out in Section 7 of this Warranty.
SECTION 1 — COVERAGE
1.1 What This Warranty Is
This Manufacturer's Warranty ("Warranty") is provided by Breville (the "Guarantor") to consumers in the United Kingdom and Ireland without extra charge. It is Breville's commitment that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship and is written in plain and intelligible language. In accordance with the requirements applicable in Ireland, this Warranty states the name and address of the Guarantor, the duration of coverage from the date of purchase, the procedure for presenting a claim, and what Breville undertakes to do in relation to the goods.
1.2 What This Warranty Covers
This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that arise under normal domestic consumer use during the applicable warranty period. A defect exists where a manufacturing fault causes the product to fail to operate in accordance with its published specifications.
1.3 Warranty Periods
Tier 1 — Standard Warranty (All Breville Products — United Kingdom and Ireland)
All Breville-branded products purchased as new goods in the United Kingdom or Ireland through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4) are covered for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase (the "Standard Warranty Period"). The Standard Warranty applies in both territories without restriction.
Tier 2 — Extended Warranty (United Kingdom Only — Eligible Espresso Coffee Machines)
Important notice to consumers in Ireland: The Extended Warranty described in this Tier 2 section is available in the United Kingdom only. Consumers who purchased their Breville product in Ireland are not eligible for the Extended Warranty but retain the full benefit of the Standard Warranty set out in Tier 1 above, as well as all statutory rights available to them under Irish law. See Section 7B for your statutory rights as a consumer in Ireland.
The Extended Warranty is available exclusively to consumers who:
(a) purchased their Breville product in the United Kingdom through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4); and
(b) purchased an espresso coffee machine carrying the Breville brand that, as at the date of purchase, had a recommended retail price (RRP) of £100 or more (inclusive of VAT) as listed on Breville's UK espresso coffee machine product range page at:
https://www.breville.co.uk/coffee/espresso/
referred to in this Warranty as the "Eligible Product List."
Eligibility for the Extended Warranty is assessed by reference to the RRP of the product as published on the Eligible Product List as at the date of purchase. A change to the Eligible Product List after your date of purchase will not affect your eligibility if the product met the RRP threshold on the date you purchased it.
A printed copy of the Eligible Product List as at any particular date may be requested from Breville UK customer support (see Section 3.1).
Where a consumer satisfies both conditions set out in (a) and (b) above, and completes valid registration as described in Section 5 (Registration) within 90 days of the date of purchase, the Warranty is extended by an additional one (1) year, providing a total coverage period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase.
The Extended Warranty covers the same scope of defects in materials and workmanship as the Standard Warranty and is subject to the same exclusions, claim procedures, and limitations set out in this document.
1.4 Territorial Scope
This Warranty applies to Breville-branded products purchased as new goods through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4) within the United Kingdom or Ireland. Products purchased in one territory may be serviced under this Warranty in either territory, subject to the availability of authorised service centres. Please contact Breville customer support in your territory to confirm availability of cross-border servicing before shipping any product.
SECTION 2 — EXCLUSIONS
This Warranty does not apply to, and Breville accepts no responsibility under this Warranty for, any of the following:
2.1 Misuse and Improper Use
-
Damage, failure, or deterioration arising from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidental damage, or failure to follow the instructions contained in the product's manual or packaging;
-
Use of the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended domestic purpose, including the use of incorrect voltage or power supply, incorrect accessories or attachments, or using the product with hard or chemically treated water where the manual advises otherwise;
-
Improper installation, assembly, or servicing carried out by any person other than an authorised Breville service technician.
2.2 Commercial and Non-Consumer Use
-
Products used for any commercial, business, professional, rental, or institutional purpose. This Warranty is available to consumers using the product for personal, household, and domestic purposes only.
2.3 Normal Wear and Tear
-
Cosmetic deterioration that does not affect the functionality of the product, including scratches, dents, discolouration, and fading arising from ordinary use;
-
Consumable components that are expected to diminish over time during normal use, including but not limited to filters, descaling cartridges, grinder burrs, and gaskets;
-
Normal maintenance requirements that would be anticipated in the product's operating instructions.
2.4 Unauthorised Modifications and Repairs
-
Damage arising from any unauthorised modification, alteration, or repair of the product by any person not authorised by Breville;
-
Products from which any identification labels, serial numbers, or safety markings have been removed, altered, or rendered illegible.
2.5 External Events
-
Damage caused by events or conditions outside Breville's control and unrelated to a manufacturing defect, including but not limited to power surges, lightning strikes, flooding, fire, or other force majeure events.
2.6 Qualifying Sales Channels
This Warranty applies only to products purchased as new goods through a Qualifying Sale, as defined in Section 5.4. Products purchased outside a Qualifying Sale are not covered by this voluntary Warranty.
For the avoidance of doubt, and for the assistance of consumers, the following types of purchase are not Qualifying Sales and are not covered by this Warranty:
-
purchases from private individuals selling in a personal (non-business) capacity, including through peer-to-peer platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, or Shpock;
-
purchases from third-party business sellers listed on an online marketplace platform operated by another party — for example, a third-party seller operating through Amazon Marketplace, eBay, OnBuy, or any similar platform — even where the seller is a registered business and even where the platform itself is well known;
-
purchases made through any online or physical auction, including live auction events and online auction listings;
-
purchases of second-hand, refurbished, or pre-owned goods, or products sold as "open box," "ex-display," or "customer return";
-
purchases from sellers who obtained the product outside Breville's UK or Irish distribution network, including grey-market imports and parallel imports not originally placed on the UK or Irish market through Breville's supply chain.
This exclusion applies only to this voluntary manufacturer's Warranty and does not affect your statutory rights. If your purchase falls outside a Qualifying Sale, you may still have statutory rights enforceable against the seller from whom you purchased the product. See Section 7 for further information about your statutory rights.
SECTION 3 — CLAIMS
3.1 How to Make a Claim
The procedure for presenting a claim under this Warranty shall not be more difficult than ordinary or normal commercial procedure. To make a claim, the consumer must follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Contact Breville Warranty Support
Contact the Breville Warranty Support team for your territory:

-
Email: BrevilleEurope@newellco.com
-

Step 2 — Provide Proof of Purchase
You must provide a valid proof of purchase demonstrating that the product was purchased as new goods through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4). Acceptable forms of proof of purchase include a till receipt, printed or electronic order confirmation, or bank or credit card statement clearly identifying:
-
the name of the seller (which should identify the seller as a business operating in its own name — see Section 5.4 for guidance on what constitutes a Qualifying Sale);
-
the date of purchase;
-
the product purchased (model name or number); and
-
the purchase price paid (required only when claiming the Extended Warranty to confirm price eligibility).
Note: An order confirmation from an online marketplace that identifies the seller as a third-party seller (rather than the marketplace operator itself) will not satisfy this requirement, as such purchases are not Qualifying Sales under this Warranty. If you are unsure whether your purchase qualifies, please contact Breville customer support before making a claim.
Step 3 — Provide Product Information
You must supply the following product details:
-
Product model name and number (as printed on the product or packaging);
-
Serial number, where marked on the product;
-
A clear description of the defect or fault, including when it first appeared and how the product was being used at the time.
Step 4 — Extended Warranty Claims
If you are making a claim during the second year of coverage under the Extended Warranty, you must also provide evidence that you registered the product within 90 days of purchase (e.g., your registration confirmation email or reference number). See Section 5 for registration details.
Step 5 — Inspection and Return
Breville may require you to make the product available for inspection, or to return the product to Breville or an authorised service centre, following the packaging and shipping instructions Breville provides. Any charges the consumer must meet in relation to such arrangements, including the cost of carriage, will be clearly communicated by Breville at the time of the request; where Breville requests the return, Breville will cover the reasonable cost.
SECTION 4 — REMEDIES
4.1 Breville's Discretion
Where a valid warranty claim is established and the product does not meet the specifications set out in this Warranty due to a covered defect, Breville will, at its discretion, reimburse the consumer for the price paid for the product, repair the product, replace the product with the same or an equivalent model, or otherwise remedy the non-conformity.
4.2 Repair
Where repair is the chosen remedy, Breville or an authorised service technician will carry out the repair free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to the consumer. A reasonable time means the shortest possible time necessary to fix the issue. Breville will bear the costs of any labour, materials, or postage necessarily incurred.
4.3 Replacement
Where replacement is the chosen remedy, Breville will supply a replacement product of equivalent specification and quality, which may be new or refurbished to a "new" standard of performance. Any extra installation costs for the replacement will be covered by Breville.
4.4 Refund
Where a refund is the chosen remedy, Breville will refund the original purchase price paid, as evidenced by the proof of purchase, without undue delay.
4.5 No Additional Charges
Breville will not charge the consumer for any warranty remedy validly provided under this Warranty. This Warranty is provided at no additional cost to the consumer.
SECTION 5 — REGISTRATION
5.1 Purpose of Registration
Registration is required only to activate the Extended Warranty (Tier 2). The Extended Warranty is available in the United Kingdom only and only for products purchased through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4). Registration for the Extended Warranty is therefore available exclusively to consumers who purchased their eligible Breville espresso coffee machine in the United Kingdom through a Qualifying Sale.
Registration is not required for the Standard Warranty (Tier 1), which applies automatically to all qualifying Breville products purchased as new goods through a Qualifying Sale in the United Kingdom or Ireland from the date of purchase. If you are a consumer in Ireland, or if you did not purchase through a Qualifying Sale, or if you do not register or miss the registration window, your Standard Warranty eligibility and your statutory rights are entirely unaffected by non-registration.
5.2 How to Register
Consumers in Ireland are not eligible to register for the Extended Warranty. Irish consumers who attempt to register will be notified of their ineligibility during the registration process. Their Standard Warranty remains valid and no action is required.
UK consumers wishing to activate the Extended Warranty should follow these steps:
-
Confirm eligibility: Before registering, confirm that:
-
the espresso coffee machine you purchased had an RRP of £100 or more as listed on the Eligible Product List at https://www.breville.co.uk/coffee/espresso/ on your date of purchase; and
-
the product was purchased as new goods through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4 — for example, from a retailer's own physical shop or the retailer's own website, and not from a third-party seller on an online marketplace or through an auction).
-
If you are unsure whether your purchase qualifies, contact Breville UK customer support before registering.
-
Visit the Breville UK product registration page at: [INSERT URL]
-
Complete the online registration form, providing:
-
Your name and contact details;
-
Confirmation that you are registering a product purchased in the United Kingdom;
-
The product model name and number;
-
The product serial number (where marked);
-
The purchase date;
-
The name of the seller from whom the product was purchased; and
-
The purchase price paid (to assist in confirming Extended Warranty eligibility alongside the published RRP).
-
Submit the form within 90 days of the original date of purchase.
-
Retain the registration confirmation email or reference number and your proof of purchase. Both will be required when making any Extended Warranty claim.
5.3 Proof of Purchase Requirements for Registration
When registering, you will be asked to confirm the purchase price paid. Breville may request a copy of proof of purchase (e.g., a scanned or photographed receipt or order confirmation) at the point of registration or at the point of making any subsequent claim under the Extended Warranty.
5.4 Qualifying Retailers and Sales Channels
A "Qualifying Retailer" is a seller that, as at the date of purchase, satisfied all of the following criteria:
(a) Business seller: The seller was a legal entity or person operating in the course of a business — not a private individual selling in a personal capacity;
(b) New goods: The seller sold the Breville product as new, unused goods in the original, unmodified manufacturer's packaging;
(c) Own retail channel: The seller made the sale through its own retail channel — whether a physical retail premises or a website or online storefront operated in the seller's own name and under its own trading identity — and not as a third-party seller listed on a marketplace platform operated by another party. For example:
-
a purchase from John Lewis's own website (johnlewis.com, sold and fulfilled by John Lewis) is a sale through the seller's own channel;
-
a purchase from a third-party seller listed on Amazon Marketplace (where the seller is not Amazon but a separate business using Amazon's platform) is not a sale through the seller's own channel and is not a Qualifying Sale; and
(d) Authorised supply chain: The seller obtained the product through Breville's UK or Irish distribution network and was not operating as a grey-market importer, parallel importer, or reseller of goods not originally placed on the UK or Irish market by or on behalf of Breville.
A "Qualifying Sale" is a sale of a Breville product made by a Qualifying Retailer satisfying all four criteria above.

5.5 Deadline
The registration window closes 90 days after the original date of purchase. Registrations submitted after this date will not be accepted for the purposes of the Extended Warranty.
SECTION 6 — LIMITATIONS
6.1 Consumer Use Only: This Warranty applies to Breville-branded products used for personal, household, and domestic purposes by the original purchaser in the United Kingdom or Ireland, provided the product was purchased as new goods through a Qualifying Sale (as defined in Section 5.4). The Standard Warranty is not transferable and does not extend to subsequent owners of the product, except where the product was received as a gift and the original gift-giver's proof of purchase from a Qualifying Sale is provided. The Extended Warranty is additionally restricted to consumers who purchased their eligible product in the United Kingdom through a Qualifying Sale, and who completed valid registration within 90 days of purchase. Consumers in Ireland are not eligible for the Extended Warranty regardless of product type or price.
6.2 United Kingdom and Ireland Only: This Warranty applies only to products purchased through a Qualifying Sale within the United Kingdom or Ireland. Products purchased abroad may be covered by separate arrangements applicable in the relevant territory.
6.3 No Consequential Loss: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Breville's liability under this Warranty is limited to the remedies set out in Section 4 (repair, replacement, or refund). Breville is not liable under this Warranty for indirect losses or consequential loss, including loss of use, loss of data, loss of profit, or loss of business.
6.4 Death and Personal Injury: Nothing in this Warranty limits or excludes Breville's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, nor for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
6.5 No Reduction of Statutory Rights: Breville will not use this Warranty to exclude or limit the statutory or common-law rights of consumers in either territory, and any term of this Warranty which purports to do so shall be void. Nothing in this Warranty is intended to operate as an exclusion clause that would leave consumers less able to seek redress than they would be under applicable consumer law.
6.6 Sole Determination: Nothing in this Warranty makes Breville or any Breville agent the sole authority to determine whether goods are defective or whether a claim may be presented. Consumers retain the right to seek independent advice and to enforce their statutory rights independently of this Warranty.
SECTION 7 — YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
This Warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights in relation to the goods. Your statutory rights exist against the seller from whom you purchased the product — not Breville as the manufacturer. This Warranty is a separate, additional undertaking given voluntarily by Breville directly to you.
7A — Consumers in the United Kingdom
As a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These statutory rights include a short-term right to reject goods within 30 days, the right to repair or replacement, and the right to a price reduction or final right to reject, depending on the circumstances and the timing of the claim. Repair or replacement must be carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, and at no cost to you. These statutory rights are enforceable against the retailer from whom you purchased the product and cannot be excluded or restricted by any contract term or notice.
For further information about your consumer rights in the UK, visit the Citizens Advice website at www.citizensadvice.org.uk or contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
7B — Consumers in Ireland
As a consumer in Ireland, you have legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2022. These statutory rights include a short-term right to terminate the contract within 30 days of delivery, the right to a free repair or replacement within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, and (where repair or replacement is unavailable, fails, or the defect is serious) the right to a proportionate price reduction or to terminate the contract and receive a reimbursement.
Where a lack of conformity appears within 12 months of delivery, it is presumed under Irish law to have existed at the time of delivery, and the burden is on the seller to prove otherwise. You may raise a problem about a product for up to 6 years from the date of purchase under Irish law, regardless of any warranty or guarantee terms.
Your statutory rights under Irish law apply to the seller of the goods. If your product is faulty, you should contact the retailer from whom you purchased it in the first instance, as the seller is responsible under consumer law for resolving the issue.
For further information about your consumer rights in Ireland, visit the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) at www.ccpc.ie or contact the Citizens Information service at www.citizensinformation.ie or by phone on 0818 07 4000.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers in Ireland may also access out-of-court dispute resolution procedures, including the European Consumer Centre (ECC) Ireland (for cross-border disputes) and the Online Dispute Resolution platform (for national and cross-border online disputes).
SECTION 8 — GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
8.1 Applicable Law
This Warranty is governed by the law of the territory in which you purchased your Breville product:
-
United Kingdom purchases: The laws of England and Wales (or, where applicable, the laws of Scotland or Northern Ireland) apply.
-
Ireland purchases: The laws of Ireland apply.
Where this Warranty contains a choice of law, that choice does not deprive consumers of the mandatory consumer protections applicable in the territory where the product was purchased where the contract has a close connection with that territory. Irish statutory protections applicable to consumers in Ireland will apply notwithstanding any governing law clause that purports to substitute the law of another country for Irish statutory implied terms.
8.2 Dispute Resolution
Breville is committed to resolving warranty disputes promptly and fairly. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a warranty claim, please contact Breville's customer support team in the first instance using the contact details in Section 3.1.
United Kingdom: If the dispute is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may refer it to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Details of applicable ADR schemes are available from Breville customer support or via the Citizens Advice website.
Ireland: An agreement to submit a dispute to an ADR procedure within the meaning of the European Union (Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes) Regulations 2015 does not exclude or restrict any statutory remedy available to the consumer. Details of applicable ADR schemes are available from the CCPC at www.ccpc.ie.
Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing legal proceedings in the courts of the territory in which you purchased your product.

In accordance with applicable law in both territories, the Guarantor's details are as follows:
