Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very quick cuppa! First of all, it looks very stylish. It is very handy if you are making a single cuppa, it boils really quickly (husband timed it first time he used it - 35 seconds). If you have physical limitations that make holding a kettle difficult it is so easy to use, you can either put enough water in for one cup or more if you drink quite a bit. If making more than one drink I still use my kettle though, seems a bit silly to use the machine multiple times. It won't be replacing the kettle yet! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spot On The purchase of the item was twofold, to save electricity but more importantly for me as I have arthritis., I love this hot water dispenser, although you still need to carry water to fill it I've solved that by using a small water bottle,( when the hubby not in) its very efficient + fast, I have to be honest it does take a couple of days to adjust If you want half milk and water coffee don't walk away when you're filling the water (like I did). I would definitely recommend this breville brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot drink in under minute Boils a mug of water in approx 30 seconds I have made tea coffee and gravey with mine with excellent results. Makes no more noise than a kettle and you only boil a mug at at time thus saving electricity and time this would be a great help to people with mobility problems who cannot lift a heavy kettle , and it. Looks great in the kitchen , I would have liked it to have a bigger water tank but other than that a great product would recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite the quality I expected I bought this because I have carpal tunnel syndrome and my hands are painful and cannot grip and lift a kettle without pain. This is a way of getting hot water for drinks without pain, and it works for that. We have had it a month and it looks old already with the hard water we have, I am constantly cleaning it. You get 2/3 of a cup and have to push the button a second time as there are no controls to measure the water you need. you push it a second time and watch it to stop it so that it does not spill over. It also splutters so be careful not to scold your hands. I have mixed feelings hence the 3 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good safety aid for elderly/partially sighted I bought one for my own use and immediately saw that the fixed dispensing amount would help my elderly mother who lives on her own and is partially blind. As well as no longer overfilling cups with boiling water from a kettle, it also meant that she would no longer need to lift a heavy kettle. So I got one for her too, and she loves it as well. I don't think it's made with the elderly or disabled in mind but it's actually a great help in a frequent everyday activity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little gadget It works really well and boils enough for a decent mug of tea or whatever else in about 20 seconds from cold. It does make a rather strange belching noise when it's finished pouring. Smaller than the kettle that it will nearly replace because you still need to boil more than a mug at once. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nice but isn't Looks nice on the bench, quiet compact and ideal for anyone who struggles to lift a heavy/full kettle. But it boils in about 30 seconds and while it seems hot it goes cold very quickly. When making a cup of tea, adding milk, it's virtually Luke warm. Not good if you like a decent cup of tea. Shoved it in a cupboard as a spare n went out n bought a tea urn. Now that's what you call decent. Wouldn't buy this. Barely makes a cup n can flood the bench very easily. Not good at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breville One Cup Great item and really good value. Much quieter than my previous hot water dispenser and holds an adequate amount of water in the tank so you're not constantly filling it up. Would be great for older people who struggle lifting heavy kettles as you just fill the tank with a jug of water.
