Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use Bought this to replace our broken kettle in the hope of saving money as my husband was always boiling the kettle over & over to make one cup of tea. Not had electric bill yet but it seems to be doing the trick. Its easy to use & you get a boiling cup of water every time. I didn't realise there was so many cup sizes! but its easy to adjust to the size you need. The auto water stop is a great feature but when all else fails the drip tray is brilliant. I find it easier to fill the kettle in situ rather than take it to the tap as it can be heavy. We have filled tea pots and flasks by using the largest cup setting. Very pleased so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth it. I've now used one of these for a few years - bought from Tesco. It is going strong. After initially being pejoratively labelled as a 'gadget' (i.e. 'male' + 'gimmick' + 'undemocratically purchased') by the family, it earned its place through sheer convenience and obvious energy-saving value. It will not displace a kettle entirely, especially if you use some specialist coffee-making devices (Handpresso, AeroPress, ...), or you want to fill a large teapot (remember those?), or if your relatives simply cannot adapt to something different, or prefer a green light to blue, ... but, it makes a lot of sense. Why boil more than you need all the time?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW !!!! Why didn't I buy one of these years ago. Bought this as a wedding anniversary surprise after seeing the smaller version in an office. My wife loves it to bits, it's so quick and easy to use, the old cordless kettle is virtually redundant. I have to take tablets each morning and the first time I used this my cuppa was ready before I'd even swallowed the pills, I'm usually waiting for the kettle well after that. Overall a great buy and brilliant energy saving gadget. If your on your own the smaller one would probably be more economical but for two or more get this one. With this you can even adjust for the size of cup or amount into cup (if adding milk first, or maybe cuppa-soup). Marvellous !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant idea I bought this model because of the ability to alter the amount of boiling water dispensed at a time and the stop button. My brother in law has one which has a fixed 250ml of water and no means of stopping the water if your cup overflows which is inconvenient to say the least. He had to buy a new set of mugs to use with his machine. I have no complaints about this machine it dispenses the required amount of water to suit your cup or mug and because the cup rest is removable you can put a dirty pan to get water to wash it, or, even to put hot water In your pan of potatoes for example. Al in all I am very glad I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breville VKJ318 Black Hot Cup This was a replacement Hot cup for a very well used one I bought two years ago. Unfortunately the package arrived and one of the switches was damaged. I telephoned Tesco customer care who could not have been more helpful. A replacement was dispatched and arrived the following day, so well done Tesco for replacing it so quickly. Excellent service. The product is excellent and I would highly recommend it. I use it for an office and it's constantly on the go. By the way, the hot cup it replaced is still going strong, I just wanted a shinier one. It has now been cleaned up and is sitting in a cupboard waiting for my old kettle at home to give up the ghost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Convenient I bought this a few weeks ago and it's one of the best kitchen 'gadgets' I've ever bought. My family have always been the type that fill the kettle right up, even for one cup, so knowing I'm saving power and money makes this a winner. We are all getting to know our 'personal' setting for the water gauge - and if you do forget to change it there is a 'stop' button right in front of you that does stop the water immediately. We had a large (16+) family gathering over the festive period and did have to get a traditional kettle out for tea and coffee making that day, but apart from that I've filled saucepans and 'made' gravy using the the hot water dispenser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish product but has its let downs I bought this dispenser as my old kettle broke. This water dispenser looks very good in any kitchen and saves a lot of electricity as it heats up water as much as you need. It has about 4-5 different cup sizes, which means the max water dispensed at a time is big cup or about 3/4 th of a pint glass. So you might need to heat up again if you need another cup. Another disadvantage is it forms scales and I have no idea how to get rid of them as the scales are formed in the part of the tank where the water heats up which is separated from the storage tank. Apart from this makes less noise, and dispenses water quite quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic kettle I bought this to replace the old one cup as it had started to give up after many years of use. I love this bigger and better version of an already fantastic product. It holds a good amount of water and I love the fact that with a turn of the dial I can change the amount of water it dispenses as I have a range of different sized mugs. I've only had a couple of overflowing mug issues, but I think it was due to me being in a rush for a cuppa and not making sure the water had gone into the bottom chamber after filling. The water is always at the perfect temperature for a cuppa and even if you are making more than one cup it is still quicker than boiling a normal kettle.
