AHAM Verified

Air purifiers that are certified through The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) Certification Program have been verified by an independent laboratory. This certification assures consumers that the product will perform according to the manufacturer's product claims for a suggested room size and the reduction of three common household particulates: tobacco smoke, dust and pollen, commonly referred to as the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). Breville Air Purifiers have been tested to filter the air at the industry-recommended rate of 4.8 times per an hour in accordance with the standard ANSI/AHAM AC-1-2020. ³

CHECK OUT SOME OF THE MOST COMMON ALLERGENS

Family-Pets

Pet dander, hair and saliva are produced by cats, dogs, rodents, birds and other animals with fur or feathers. As they are lightweight, they can linger in the air for a long time, carrying other allergens such as pollen, dust, mites and mould with them.

Viruses-Bacteria

Types of germs found in many homes that can be harmful when inhaled. Mould is a type of fungus that spreads when its spores come into contact with moisture, in places like bathrooms, kitchens and basements. Viruses like the flu and common cold can be spread by respiratory droplets and aerosols in the air.

Outdoor-Pollution

During the summer months when windows are kept open, outdoor airborne impurities can easily find their way into your home and become sources of irritation. Pollen, an allergen produced by grasses, trees and weeds, can be particularly bothersome for hayfever sufferers.

Smoke-Odour

Dirty dishes, waste bins and even cooking a simple meal can create smells, smoke and vapour that are unpleasant to experience and can aggravate allergy symptoms. Even household cleaning products and pleasantly scented air fresheners introduce chemical particles that can have an adverse effect on the air quality in your home.

Outdoor-Pollution

Everyday activities like cleaning and bed-making can resuspend dust collected on surfaces into the air. In the winter when windows are kept closed, dust builds up even faster due to decreased airflow throughout your home.
