Rubbish, total waste of moneyI purchases this breville instant hot water dispenser as it seemed more versatile than the one cup, on paper brilliant but total useless in practice.
Select 25 degrees C and it comes out as cold as the tank water, turn up all the way to 100 degrees C and you can keep your finger in the water stream it hot but nowhere near boiling,
I used a thermometer to test the temperature and it was below 60 degrees C.
The only way to make a decent cup of tea is to use the 900 watt microwave and heat for a further minuet.

Great Breville Instant HotCup product!Wow I’m so impressed with this Breville Instant HotCup 1.4L in black! When it says instant it really is instant!! Within seconds you have Brita filtered hot water to a temperature of your choice. It’s very easy to set up and using the machine is so simple. It has great touch buttons to control the temperature and volume of water required. I also like that it’s quite a slim machine so doesn’t take up lots of room. This is great for those instant cups of tea or coffee or you can even use for cooking as it’s so versatile. A great product that I would definitely recommend to others!

Water temp is too lowI bought this from Curry's to replace a Breville 1 cup VKJ318.
We had an older smaller 1 cup which we were happy with. I passed this to my elderly mother and replaced it with the VKJ318. Both of these had been great products and I would recommend them.
We decided to update with this newer model with filter and adjustable temperature options. We bought it from Curry;s without looking at any reviews. Got it home and set it up. The process was simple, but when we started to use it on the hottest setting the results were disappointing. It was too cold for making a cup of tea. I tried putting boiling water into 1 cup and wasting it then making my brew in a 2nd cup, but it still wouldn't reach the desired temperature.
I then researched the product online and found from the reviews that this was a common theme.
I returned it and obtained a refund, this was not fit for purpose.

Great additionI was very excited to try this as I always seem to be boiling the kettle for cuppas and cooking. Firstly, it looks very elegant and the black suits my kitchen perfectly. It is easy to fill and the touch screen is responsive to touch. You can select cup volume on the panel as well changing the water temperature, which also requires the knob to be turned to increase. After selection, press down the knob and hot water is instantly dispensed. It is very slow to fill, not surprised as it is heating as dispensing, but it is very slow. Also the capacity is only 1.4 litres so doesn't hold a lot but it is certainly helpful to have boiling water instantly but I'm not sure if will ever replace my kettle.

GeniusI love it. It's perfect for my household. It's slim and light weight, the HotCup looks fab on my kitchen side. I was so impressed it includes a Brita water filter. The design is smooth and sleek, it's a nice looking piece of equipment. I tested out the HotCup, first I needed hot water to clean my airfryer. I would usually put the kettle on or put the emersion heater on. The temperature of the water and the amount you wish to use is so easy to set. Although I was a little impatient with the water flow, I do understand why it flows slowly. Its hot, I would not want that coming out fast around children. Second test was my cup of tea. I set the water to 70 and pressed start, the water was perfectly clear and the heat was great. I can see a whole lot of use in the HotCups future

DO NOT BUYPLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU NEED 70 DEGREE WATER OR LESS.
YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE 100 DEGREE WATER.
I HAVE TESTED IT MANY WAYS AND EVEN WARMING CUP UP PRIOR. THE TEMPERATURE DROPS DRAMATICALLY AND IN LESS THAT 1 MINUTE IT WENT FROM 70s TO 60s
THE FILTER DOES GIVE A DIFFERENT TASTE.

It didn't work and didn't heat the waterAfter following the instructions to the letter the machine could only manage to produce cold water. I returned it to the shop, where they tested it too (so it wasn't me setting it up wrong) and it was replaced. The replacement gave out hot water but nowhere near the promised temperature for a decent cup of tea. I measured the temperature with a thermometer - at the 85c setting it was 67.5c, at the 100c setting it was 72c. Had it actually worked I would have kept it, although I already had some reservations because it is quite a flimsy machine, not really robust enough for frequent use. The detachable drip tray is barely big enough to stand a cup on and is more a coaster than a drip tray. The tank is no bigger than some of the very cheaper alternatives. The tank itself is black plastic, making the water level difficult to see in low light. I liked the sleek design though.
