UsefulGoing for an operation soon, after which I am advised to refrain from lifting anything for several weeks. This includes using a kettle for hot drinks. I saw this water boiler on the Argos website and decided to buy it for making tea and coffee when I’m home alone. I found this to be fine for instant coffee but we use a teapot and loose leaf tea for our evening cuppa. The results from this machine are not as good as a full rolling boil from a kettle when scalding the tea leaves but first impressions are acceptable for coffee. We are also expecting to find this to be more economical compared to the kettle for single drinks. Time will tell but so far, so good.

Really good and then notRecommended by a colleague, and great at first. Variable fill is good, as I need to have it set to two different cup sizes when making a round. After a month it started delivering random cup sizes or just kept going delivering cup after cup of water. Temperature has drop and is not hot enough for instant coffee now. Live is a very soft water area, but still followed the descale process but alas not working. Spoke to Breeeeeeville (Odd robot voice on the support line ha ha) and quicly answered and product has been returned. Want another but it seems to be something that goes wrong, based on other reviews.

Amount of water dispensed has reducedgreat product looks nice, I wouldn’t say the water is boiling and after having it for a few months the water that it dispenses has reduced drastically even though we haven’t changed the the dial, you need to press it twice on full to get a mug full

The one to have…Had one, element went, bought the cheaper one, arrrghhh! So very happy now as this one has turned up, After getting used to having varying amounts of hot water, room for a travel mug, not boiling a kettle every time, it’s just great and glad to have this one back, in fact the negative of not being able to take it the tap, actually isn’t a neg, as the hole is bigger to fill on this model, I have found it easier and lighter to use a small jug to fill it. Brilliant product that knocks spots off the cheaper model. Built better too.

No more waiting for the kettle to boil!I have been really impressed with this product. In under a minute I have boiling water for my cup of tea. The water tank holds 6-8 cups of water so you don’t have to keep filling it up and it dispenses one cup of water at a time. It has a handy manual stop button for when you only need a smaller amount of water and a removable drip tray which is reversible for when you need to fit a larger cup in it.
I’ve found the product really handy to make a quick cup of tea and it’s economical as it only boils the water you need. Really great option for hot water in an instant.

Brilliant at first - but then water amount reducedUsing this in my garden office, it was perfect for the first month, but then, like other reviewers, it suddenly decided to reduce the amount of water it wanted to produce to about 1/2 of what it was, so I now have to press twice to fill my mug. The variable size selector still works, but now only from tiny to little, instead of from little to large (output-wise). There is obviously a design flaw with this model. Would recommend if this issue was resolved.

Almost perfectSo I’ve been using this hot cup machine for a couple weeks now which has replaced my kettle, it’s great for one or two people but any more than that it becomes more hassle than just using a standard kettle, I do however like that it saves energy by only boiling what you need, I’m still very impressed and would recommend it, could also be great for people with disabilities to save picking up a hot kettle.

DisappointedWas really excited to use this but I was really disappointed. It's really hard to judge when to stop the water coming out and sometimes the water still comes out after pressing the stop button. It produces 300ml of water most times but then can go over that. The drip tray doesn't click into place so it just sits there which can move which is annoying. The boil time is really quick, it liturly boils in under 1 minute and doea produce very hot water but have to be quick on pressing the stop button
