Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for uni students or first home I’ve had this kettle a couple of weeks now and whilst it does everything you’d expect from a kettle there are a few things I don’t like about it… from a distance the Breville bold looks sleek and rather fancy but close up it is a regular plastic kettle that I feel would suit those starting out as it is very reasonably priced.. I prefer a more sturdy metal kettle as I feel they clean better and look more attractive. I’m also finding the breville to be quite loud when boiling and it seems to take longer to boil than my previous one. Having said what I’ve said it does the job it’s made for and I guess that’s the important bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stylish kettle Breville Bold kettle looks modern and stylish and the light grey colour fits really well in my kitchen. It's well build, not flimsy and I can imagine it lasting for quite a while. The power switch lights up when kettle is turned on, and with the high power, it boils fast without being too noisy, less waiting for a nice cuppa! The kettle has a removable limescale filter which is a plus as it reduces the amount of limescale that gets poured out, great feature if you live in hard water area. The kettle is cordless (except the docking base) and has a concealed element which makes it easier to clean. Overall, a good stylish kettle and would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing kettle This kettle is so sleek looking it’s a lovely design. I love the fact that the button you push down to switch the kettle on lights up a lovely blue colour. The kettle is really sturdy and very light weight. The lid is really easy to get off and it’s very easy to fill as the whole in the top is big unlike my old kettle. It heats up very quickly and it very quiet when using. The ridges on the kettle are very nice and people have commented on how nice it looks in the kitchen. I need to get the matching toaster now to sit next to it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good! This brilliant kettle is made out of durable plastic which is easy to clean, has a large capacity and boils quickly. From past experience, most kettles tend to have an attached flip top lid but when the secure fastening breaks, the auto turn off function no longer works - Breville's thoughtful design of having a fully removable lid is fantastic because the aforementioned problem won't be an issue. I absolutely love the sleek design and wonderful shiny black finish. I'm really pleased with this kettle and hope to purchase the matching toaster in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great product, best kettle we have ever had until Unfortunately it ceased to work at all after just 8 months of light use, (4 to five boilings a day). All standard checks carried out and there is power to the base but the switch seems to have burned out. The product itself is brilliant and if it turns out that this is just a random fault and I get a replacement or a cost free repair, I would certainly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick boil I've (like many people no doubt) have had so many kettles over the years that claim to be quick boiling. Many have failed. My last one that was quick was a supermarket own brand and lasted a good 6 years until recently it stopped working. So I went back to the supermarket to get a replacement, I shouldn't have bothered as it was absolutely dreadful. Breville bold kettle came along and straight away I tested it out. Have to say I'm pretty impressed with the quickness. The style of the kettle is great, not too out there that it doesn't match with anything (if your one of those) but sits there looking good! 360° is a great feature. Spout is good, water doesn't go flying. The only disagreement in my house is over the lid. I personally love having a lid that comes off, however my other half doesn't. Definitely would recommend especially if the lid doesn't bother you, even if it does.... it's still a great kettle to have in your kitchen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful hold kettle, with a nice finish. I'm very impressed with our new kettle, after our old one was packing up. This kettle has a beautiful hold, and boils (very quickly), making sure I can get me and my partners morning cuppa fix ASAP. The colour has really blended in nicely with our kitchen worktop, and the general feel and quality of the kettle is really smooth and sleek - even commented on by friends and family. I would highly recommend this kettle and brand to anyone considering a new kettle for their kitchen or mobile home. The kettle is built very sturdy and doesnt feel flimsy like other kettles we've owned. I feel as though this unit will last a long-time, just make sure you descale along the way (probably every six months or so) dependant if you live in a hard water area like us.
