Enjoy your teas and coffee at their best by using water at the perfect temperature. The Breville Selecta Temperature Select kettle has five heat settings, from 80 to 100°C - just choose which best suits your drink. Making Oolong or green tea? No need to make do with overheated water or wait for boiled water to cool. Countdown illumination shows heating progress and an alert tells you when the right temperature has been reached. After heating, your Selecta Kettle indicates water temperature until it falls below 80°C, reducing the need to reheat.

Super Stylish Kettle
I have been using the Breville Selecta 1.7L Temperature Select Kettle over the past week and been really impressed it's really stylish it's the sort of kettle you would want to show off to family and friends. It has a stylish and luxury feel to it. It's really clever that it boils your water for the perfect temperature for different drinks for example 85° is for the perfect temperature for a cup of tea and when the temperature drops after it's boiled it will tell you the current temperature of the water which is really clever. It plays a tune when the kettle has boiled which is a great added feature. This kettle is such a hit in my household.

Great until it fell apart
I bought this kettle almost exactly 1 year ago and I was very happy with it until today. I pulled the lid off to fill it with water and the knob on the top came off. It was held together with a tiny screw into a piece of plastic which seems to have shattered. This is very disappointing and surprising from what otherwise seems to be a quality product.

Breviile Kettle
This item was bought from Argos 27.10 22. It was and still is described by Argos as having a Stainless Steel interior and Exterior. The lid is stiff to remove, so we filled the kettle via the spout. On removing the lid, we were shocked to see the plating inside the kettle had disintegrated and was badly corroded on the base plate. We had been drinking water contaminated with metal fragments! Argos Customer Service have passed us to Breviile and Breviile Customer Service have passed us back to Argos. Breviile Customer Service also stated it is Nickel plated inside not Stainless Steel.The matter has been forwarded to Trading Standards.

Its travelled around the world
That impressed with the kettle that it became a companion of ours for the move to NZ. It said goodbye to us and popped itself into the shipping container. 2 months and 15k miles later we were reunited and it couldnt wait to boil our dreamy Tea's and Coffees once again! We decided NZ wasnt what we wanted and headed back to the UK.... with kettle in tow. BUT..... kettles connection to the wall (the base) has disappeared. We think the base feel in love with a kettle sailor and sailed away to sea. Can you help us Breville? Pretty please! We need kettle to have a new base to sit and and perform its magic! Thank you.

Excellent quality kettle.
The breville selecta variable temperature kettle is so stylish and very well built and comes with so many cool features. It boils super quick and plays a little tune when finished (you can also deactivate it). I love that it counts down and let's you know when it needs reboiling so this handy feature has definitely saved me money. I'm super impressed and I'm definitely going to purchase the matching toaster. 100% recommend.

Stopped working after six months
Stopped working after six months,I bought this kettle from Amazon UK now six months later it’s no longer works. I’ve been forced to replace it with a new kettle, and all the Amazon will be willing to do is replace it if it cannot be repaired. I have now learnt my lesson I shall be buying kettles that are much cheaper than this was.

Great for making hot water, but lid knob fails
I was looking for a kettle to make hot water at different temperatures. It works well for tea and coffee.
Unfortunately after 18 months the knob broke off the lid leaving a sharp screw exposed. Clearly this little retaining screw going into soft plastic knob won't stand up to boiling water for very long.
Don't buy.

Great kettle
I got this today and was excited to try it straight away. It’s very easy to use, standard boil water twice before first use and that seemed to work. Very nice and elegant looking looks smart on my side. I like the fact it tells you how long you have left till it has boiled and shows how hot your water is. Will save money for the morning whilst I have 2 coffees as won’t have to reboil. Holds quite a bit of water too. Looking forward to using this.
