Potential danger from design flaw on this model
There is a potential danger from the Browning Control knob on the side as the marker on the side of the the knob is quite difficult to see and line up with the figures on the dial behind it. What is more worrying however is that the knob is too loose and can be easily moved to an unwanted much higher setting accidentally while cleaning or moving the Toaster. This has happened to our family on a couple of occasions and the result was that the toast caught fire and it was only the smoke and the burning smell which alerted our family to the problem and enabled us to switch the Toaster off at the mains and douse the burning toast in the sink ! Be careful with this machine and check your toasting settings on each use.

**DO NOT BUY** Broke after 12 months use
Broke after 12 months of light use (used it around 2 times a week). Loud bang and spark, reset toaster after to try it again, but totally out of operation.
Contacted support but as it was after 12 month warranty they would do nothing to help. Offered a 30% discount on new toaster, which seemed unsatisfactory. Are the toasters only meant to last 12 months? Don't want to buy another one and end up in same situation
Would not recommend the product, and Breville support unhelpful, offer 30% off and wouldn't respond to questions.

Perfect for your family everyday needs
I absolutely love this toaster my current one broke and when this arrived I couldn't help but test it out toast, crumpets, hotcross buns, mmmm toasted to perfection!! I love the modern design but also the teaser of the matching kettle on the box so unfair haha !!! Has defrosting mode and a swizzle turn hit on the side so u can make it as toasty or burnt as u like or as lightly toasted and also a button to release if u want to check the toast or whatever u out in to toast which is fab.. , cord had enough length on it to go exactly where I wanted as I hate extra cable on my sides a massively all round great looking and great working toaster thank u guys!! The ease of use is also a win win

Looks lovely
I am really pleased with this toaster. It toasts evenly and very quickly. The only thing I think is a bit strange, is the fact that you have to use the right hand side first. The left hand side slots don’t go down unless the right side ones are activated first. This means that the toaster will be unevenly worn down as we don’t often make 4 slices at once. I’m supposing that once the right hand side is worn out the toaster can’t be used anymore. My last toaster, when the one side suddenly broke down, at least we could continue using the other half. Apart from that the toaster really is good.

Durable and long lasting
The toaster colour and durability is great, from the first use I knew this toaster was made to last. The tempture control is really well made, it really gives the toast the nice taste and crispyness that you desire. The size of the toaster works really well and can fit into many places in the kitchen and other areas. The cleaning process is very simple and wipes clean really easily and comes out looking brand new. Overall I would highly reccomend this if your looking for a long lasting toaster that will serve you well and bring a piece of simplistic and elegant look to your kitchen.

Crunchy
Excellent product that came in time !! The old one needed a replacement so badly! As it was silver and rusty and dirty and couldn’t see the numbers on the wheel thing so we always would have a burnt toast!
This toaster is black and it’s great colour as doesn’t get so easily dirty! Easy to use and love how can just cancel and the toasts would pop up ! Default number on the spin was turned to 4 and it was just right !! Not burnt and it was well crunchy!!

Stylish and practical
I love the look of this toaster and it fits into my kitchen colour scheme well. It feels pretty solid to handle and the buttons all feel durable. I think this is going to last me a lot longer than my old toaster. The removable crumb tray at the bottom is handy as I can't stand the crumb fest I had to clean up from my old one. My only negative is that I wish the drop for the toast was half an inch deeper as there is always a small strip at the top of each slice that is less toasted that the rest. This is when toasting a slice of standard sandwich loaf.

Expected better
The toaster was fine when working but I expected it to last for more than 18 months. Bought it together with matching kettle on 16th July 2022. The toaster started to play up about 3 months ago. It won't lock down it will work if you stand and hold the lever down but that defeats the object of having a pop up toaster. The old saying buy cheap buy twice. Sorry Breville disappointed.
