This toaster has now filled my home with smoke. There is a fault with this appliance. If I turn it on it never turns off, again!, this must be a generic fault. This is the second one to do this as you have already replaced this once.
THIS IS DANGEROUS!
This appliance only has one function; to heat bread; if it fails it should not heat forever. Whats the point of a toaster that you have to watch over as it works. I may as well use the grill. I didn’t leave it unattended luckily but it was behind me whilst I was making coffee; luckily.
I tried again and removed the toast when done by lifting the cradle manually, the toaster carried on empty for four or five minutes until I manually turned it off using the button on the front. If I turn this toaster on now it never turns off.

timer does not work at all - we set fire alarms go
We bought this toaster brand new from Curry's in Brighton. The first time we tried to use it we all but had the fire brigade at the front door. We have to stand be the toaster and manually stop it when we figure the bread is toasted.

Looks sleek
We LOVE toast in our house and previously had a toaster that could only do 2 slices at a time so this Breville one is ideal. Not only does it look really sleek, the detail feels high end. It toasted the bread really well and it's a luxury being able to make 4 slices at once. Cleaning it will be easy, the crumb tray useful and it looks good. My only problem is that I now need to go buy the kettle haha.

A much needed upgrade for our large occupancy household.
We’re a large occupancy household and our previous 2 slice toaster was no longer serving our needs, and therefore no longer a viable option. I’ve always wanted a 4 slice toaster due to the versatility of not only being able to toast a larger quantity but being able to mix products such as toast and crumpets. The unit itself is really lightweight yet built with integrity and durability in mind, it’s easy to clean and the crumb collection tray being at the back as opposed to the side has kept everything neatly hidden away. The cream shade has matched our kitchen perfectly amongst brightening up the workspace due to the brickwork on display. The slots are much wider compared to our previous toaster and they mirror the item being toasted, this enables you to see whether the browning is too little or too much and thus being able to force completion if needed. Overall I’m really impressed with this toaster due to the versatility, lightweight features and the ability to wipe down between use without any smears showing.

Bought this toaster two years ago
Bought this toaster two years ago and thermostat was faulty. After reading everyone else’s comments . Obviously this is a faulty manufactured product . Rang up breville and all they wanted to do was offer me 20 % on a different breville product . This is bad .Really not good enough and should replace it immediately too . Breville are an American brand with bad customer service

Best toaster
Absolutely beautiful toaster I wanted to try this for few days having 3 children this has made things so much easier in morning you can put 4 slices off bread in toaster the heating is really good cooks faster the weight is Light toast comes out brown and lovely the stability is amazing doesn’t take long we also warm pitter bread amazing toaster

Would highly recommend this!
I absolutely love this toaster! The vanilla cream colour fits perfectly with my kitchen decor. It feels well made and toasts evenly every time as well as being really easy to use! It looks far more expensive than it is and added a lovely stylish touch to my worktop. I couldn’t be happier with it and would definitely recommend!

Useless
I used it for the first time, and in each slice compartment, the burners only fully worked on one side; on the other, just a few of the burners worked. After attempting to toast several slices, the same compartment caused the bread to curl, so I could not remove it from the toaster. I returned it to the retailer.
