Rated 1 out of 5 by from I am very disappointed, do not recommend. Do not recommend this espresso machine. I am very disappointed. I did not get any espresso, water remains in the portafilter, it does not grind properly, the coffee comes out very transparent... I watched many videos, I tried many grinding levels, nothing... I even tried with pre-ground coffee... I took the machine to the service, it is the same... without success. I became disappointed with the Breville brand and this espresso machine. I thought they were better. I do not recommend buying, at least not from Romania. Very poor customer service.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from An OK machine but makes a HUGE mess The only reason I hate this machine is the amount of coffee falls from it while grinding, its like 19.5g to make and I have 17g maximum on my cup cause everything is falling from the sides, worst grinder and human engineering in a machine I've ever experienced. Other than that Its an average machine, a little slow one but its ok.

Operation is simple and it steams milk really well. I would highly recommend this coffee machine to anyone who is looking for cafe-style coffee at home!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on market I cannot believe how easy this was to set up, the easy to follow instructions in the manual make this so easy to follow. To use again, very easy and clearly set out instructions. The quality is comparable to none. I don’t think there is a product like this that isn’t an overly expensive product that is a professional machine. It really is making your own coffee shop favourites from home. It’s so easy to clean as well, the removal parts need a good wipe and that’s about it. So very happy with it.

Find the perfect grind from the fastest to the slowest, for your own type of coffee. Making it “the perfect” cup of coffee. With its build in grinder saves the time of using other appliances to grind. Then your coffee it’s just a button away. The steamer has 2 settings for the milk. Making barista cup of coffee at your own comfort. Will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coffee machine Where do i start? First of all i am a mad coffee lover, it was not easy to say goodbye to my 6 yo Nespresso machine. I been wanting a proper coffee machine for a while. Its not difficult to use once you get the hang of it. If you prefer expresso this is the one for you, but if you are a latte lover ( like me) you will find the milk frother a bit challenging ( hopefully i am getting there soon) . Its still early days to give a full feedback as i have just started it but so far so good

It became clear to us that we were pouring a significant amount of money into franchise coffee shops, not to mention the added cost of petrol just to get there. After carefully analysing our annual expenditures, I discovered that our coffee expenses alone far exceeded the price of a high-quality coffee machine. This realization made it a no-brainer to invest in the machine. Now, I've transformed our coffee experience at home. With just the push of a button, I can brew delicious coffee in minutes, all without the hassle of leaving the house. Not only has this purchase saved us money, but it has also given us the convenience of enjoying our favourite beverages whenever we like, in the comfort of our own home. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tasting Coffee The Breville Barista Max+ coffee machine is stylist and would look great in a style-conscious kitchen. It resembles a professional coffee machine and would be great for any budding baristas / coffee enthusiast. It includes a number of features including 30 grind settings that are easy to switch between, however, the grinding can become a bit messy. For the average coffee drinker it will take a bit of time to get consistent results but when done right you get great coffee.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Milk Pitcher is too big I have already a Sage Bambino Plus and Eureka grinder, so that is my frame of reference for this review. The breville machine feels decently built, and I appreciate the freely articulating steam wand compared to my sage. However, the steam function takes much, much longer to heat up and isn't as powerful. I think the included milk pitcher is too big to create the "velvety" milk foam that they advertise, because the steam wand isn't super powerful and there'S too much milk in there to get it spinning. It would be nice if they included a smaller one. Using a lightly roasted blend, I was able to just barely achieve drinkable shots that weren't sour using grind setting 7 and only 17-17.5g of coffee at the second highest temperature setting. But it is almost choking the machine and takes longer than optimal. This is actually better than my sage, which cannot use lightly roasted coffee at all and always produces sour shots. I have no complaints about the grinder, it is quiet and seems to do a good job. Perhaps the results with lighter roasts would be even better with an external grinder. Overall I can recommend the Barista max if it's under 250 euros, and the Max Plus maybe for 350. But for the retail price, I think you could do better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brwville Coffee machine Breville has got a lot right with this espresso machine. First things first: it makes fantastic coffee! Smooth espresso with a rich crema. Lots of options to fine tune your coffee to just how you like it (and to suit the beans you're using) The integrated conical burr bean grinder is superb (see my 3rd photo) The milk frother works very well. It looks fab on the worktop, very well designed to mimic commercial coffee shop machines. Large capacity water tank. Easy to clean There are only a few negative points; It's designed to fill two espresso cups at once, but they don't quite fill evenly. You can't froth milk at the same time as pouring espresso. Finally, the distance between spout and platform is fixed, so if you use low level espresso cups then you end up with splashes onto the machine, but all in all I am super happy with this!

But wow what a great addition to my kitchen I will be the envy and host of many coffee mornings

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breville Barista Max Really loving the Breville Barista Max coffee machine, it looks really stylish in my kitchen. It's a good sturdy unit and great colour and it doesnt take up lots of bench space. The bean holder is good and holds a full pack of coffee beans. It took me a few tries to get the right strength of espresso shot for my taste but found that to be around 20 to 22 on the bean holder. It is a little messy when you extracting the grinded coffee as sometimes it's not as sturdy in the holder. The milk jug is a good size, that also took a few tries to get the right consistency of frothy milk and heat to make a cappuccino, just play around until you get your perfect cup of coffee. The buttons on the machine are quite clear, however I have to add some of the instructions in the booklet are a little confusing. All in all a great coffee machine that I'm loving more each day.

The modern design fit perfectly in my kitchen. It produce quality espresso at home. There is temperature control, pressure regulation which help you make perfect espresso for you. It comes with steam wand for milk, so you can make latte, cappuccino etc. It's really easy to use, I never had coffee machine and had no problems with making first espresso or latte! I really love it 😀 The Barista Max + also have build in grinder, so you don't need separate one. It offers grind settings for optimal extraction and flavour. It contains 2.8L water reservoir, which allows you for extended brewing sessions without frequent need to refill. In my opinion it's perfect in size as well , tou don't need big kitchen to purchase this Breville Barista Max+

Took me a little while to get my head around the instructions but I got there eventually. I found it pretty easy to clean out once I figured out how to remove each part. For the price I definitely think it's a great little machine for home use! Makes a cracking Latte!

Initially, I was overwhelmed with the protest of having a barista standard coffee machine as I thought it would be difficult to set up and use. However, I've been pleasantly surprised at how easy and straightforward the process was. The manual is easy to follow, and Breville also provides online video tutorials, which is extremely helpful. I was set up and ready to enjoy my coffee in no time at all. The machine comes with everything you would need to achieve a quality cup of coffee. The machine boasts a very impressive 30 grind options, allowing you to really tailor your drink to your preference. The machine has a full size steam wand which creates the most velvety silk foam. I am slightly disappointed with the tamper provided as I prefer it to be heavier and the one provided is made from plastic and light weight. Overall, very happy as it makes a delicious coffee.

I would say the grinder isn’t automatic as advertised as you need to keep pressing it while it dispenses but it’s not a bad thing. Very easy to clean and can make lots of different drinks! I would say a great dupe for the Sage machine :))

As a first time user, the set up was very easy due to the simple instruction manual (which is also online). Overall, I'm very happy and would recommend to anyone getting into espresso at home.

I’ve learnt a new skill with this kit, it may look overwhelming at first but it’s quite simple to make the coffee and just as good as the coffee you get out!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought the breville barsita max a couple years ago, had to return after 8 months as the machine started leaking (ran through regular clean cycles with descale). Had it replaced with the same product which also had the same issue after another year but was out of warranty by then.
