DiamondXpress® 3100W Diamond Ceramic Steam Iron is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this iron Bought this with the “ diamond ceramic” sole plate, worst I’ve ever used, everything sticks to it even on cool temps. Avoid

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Breville diamondexpress I’ve only had it a few months and it doesn’t steam automatically anymore when the dial is on steam but the steam button does work. It’s also very heavy. I don’t have the receipt so I’m stuffed!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved it at first Loved this iron at first powerful steam was reqlly good, but as time as gone on everything was sticking to the same part of the soleplate as other people pictures on here, some kind of design fault. This is after a 4th attempt of trying to clean the product

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sole plate stains badly and steam has black spots Initially I was very pleased with it, the only minor gripe I had was it was easy to knock the temperature wheel as you ironed. But then I started getting black staining on the bottom. It looks like it's overheating in a particular area. I've cleaned it three times now and it's very difficult to do, cleaning every hole. And it's back again. This time even worse. So after 18 months of use I've just retired it in favour of another brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Iron I have ever owned I bought this iron approx 4 months ago. Absolutely everything sticks to the plate, constantly had to use paracetamol to get burn marks of plate. This happened regardless of iron temp unless it was the lowest which then cause the problem of water all over clothes. The plate on this is terrible for everyday ironing. Also had an issue with every-time I turned it off at mains there would be a spark. I perceivered with it however, the nosies and the spark whenever I turned it off was giving me the fear. I replaced it at the weekend with a new Tefal iron which works a dream and plate so much better and definitely non-stick. I 100% would avoid the breiville iron. I have noticed from previous reviews also has similar feedback relating to the issue stated within mine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Give it a miss I bought this to replace a previous item, which had lasted so long..... Been using for 12 months and it leaks, the buttons stick and the plate is awful (it seems to heat up excessively in one location and gets so black and grubby, even on low heat) Edit ... I am not allowed to post photo of iron, as Breville won't allow it (maybe it highlights the issues too much for them?)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Liked the look Great iron extremely unhappy that the steam button broke just after a year my opinion is Brevelle must not have much faith in their products as they only offer a one year warranty

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Terrible iron Leaks and can’t clean soleplate. Self clean does not work and dream button faulty worst iron ever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worst iron ever! I bought this model from Curry’s 18 months ago. I have to say this is the worst iron I have ever used. No matter what setting is selected materials stick to the sole plate. The residue left behind is then impossible to remove. As the guarantee is still valid I have exchanged it, but the same problem occurs again. Do not waste your money on this Iron!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Efficient. A slick looking design - one of the trendiest irons I've ever used. It is, however, a little on the heavy side but has a comfortable grip and is easy to handle. The iron seems to heat up fairly quickly and stays evenly hot throughout the ironing lot. For more delicate fabrics I use a thin cloth in between the iron and the washing to not ruin both the fabrics and the iron. So far I'm happy with the steam feature - it doesn't leak once up to temperature but does need topping up mid the load. The cord length is satisfactory too, and overall I'm satisfied with the iron.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really quite rubbish Does a terrible job of ironing clothes - my cheaper iron from about 10 years ago was a lot better. Too heavy, the anti scale feature doesn’t work and the instructions with the iron are really poor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive with poor performance I bought this iron few months ago. It worked ok but now every time I turn the iron on, electric fuse keep Turing off. Can’t iron. I have no receipt. Such a waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really disappointed with this iron I’ve had this iron for a few months now and bought it because of the glittering description and good reviews - it was in a top ten. It constantly leaks water all over clothes when steam ironing. And even something sticky all over the base plate last time I used with transferred to my shorts ruining them in the process . I going to buy a cheap one next time this was a waste of money can’t it off no idea what it is

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 18months old and rusted already. Brought this 18mm hrs ago after the Philips iron I’d had for 25 years finally gave up the ghost. This iron is truly aweful. As others have mentioned. Everything sticks to it. And it develops these black marks on the sole plate. 4 months ago it started spitting and leaving large leaks even when at temperature and brown rust flecks always marking clothes. Even when we religiously empty the water after every use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst iron ever purchased Bought this iron and it’s terrible. The ceramic plate is marked after 3 months, the iron sticks to clothes even on low temperatures, the steam button sticks and it drags the clothes around and crumples them up due to the poor design of the plate especially on small short sleeves. I had had far cheaper that are way more superior. Will never buy breville again as the customer service it poor too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible for leaking. I bought mine from Sainsburys. After approximately 18 months a strange mark appeared on the ceramic base plate - which I really could not attribute to having struck to any garment. The iron leaks from the heel end and has stained a number of items of white items clothing (Even though no water is left in the iron when not in use). Time for a new iron now and it will not be a Breville.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overpriced GARBAGE ! Got in Sainsbury's for £60 guinea. Thought a ceramic iron would mean less rust spotting on clothes after time. Got it home, only to find that it's extremely unstable and falls without much provocation. And after 17 months, this piece of garbage has given up the steam function. TOTAL waste of money ! Moral of tale ? ... Stick to brands that know how to make irons !

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Iron I bought this iron less than 6 months ago and it is not working. It started heating up, I had to unplug it, I think the thermostat has gone. When it was working, the plate would get black sticky marks on it while I was ironing, I had to keep cleaning it. The picture shows the iron just before it stopped working. Total waste of money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SHAME -Good at First I loved this iron at first. The steam was really powerful and ironing was quick and easy. Then the general steam stopped working and it began to stick to garments even on low temp. The self clean didnt make a difference. Its such a shame. I bought it 18mths ago and would have thought that it would have lasted longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks water Bought from amazon, October 2020, been ok, self clean, de calc doesn't really work. It's very heavy. Has now started leaking water from.the housing and heel, despite cleaning and always using boiled cooled water. Never been dropped or bashed. A product of this price should last more than 2 years surely ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effortless! Wow, this is an amazing steam iron. One of the best I have used in fact! It was easy to set up and comes wirh a user manual which explains all the functions clearly. My old appliance was not as good despite being a steam iron. I often have to go over the same place several times to get creases out. This did the job in the first time. It has a great self clean function and an auto safety turn off function, making it a safe and pleasant user experience. I used the steam function and it left no water or residue marks. It ironed out the creases perfectly. It has different, easy adjustable heat settings for all type of fabric. Only thing i found is that it is slightly heavy but it isn't that big a negative for the results it achieves. This will cut down the time it takes me to iron in half as I do quite a large load of iron in one time. Efficient and practical product that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good steam iron. It is also excellent value for money given how efficient it is at getting the job done. Highly recommended!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soleplate becomes sticky Bought this from Tesco and it's been the worse iron I've ever purchased as I seem to be cleaning soleplate all the time as it sticks to clothes, assumed I had done something wrong and have now cleaned it again and scratched the soleplate so can't return it but will never buy a Breville iron again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst iron ever Exactly the same as all the other reviews with water pouring out and base plate sticking wish I had read these before purchasing! Customer service was useless too offered me 20% discount on a new iron but I wouldn’t even want a free one it soaked all my clothes that I had just dried!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not lasted very long Purchased July 2020 from Amazon and initially was pleased but the self clean button has never worked and for some time now it leaks dirty water over clothes which then have to be re-washed. The spray feature stopped working after a few months. Rather expensive for what it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best iron I have ever owned I bought this iron over a year ago now. I always use de-ionised water in it. I always make sure I don't iron over logos and printed tshirts. And therefore it is still in perfect working order. I highly recommend this iron if you are careful and look after it as with any iron.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dangerous as burnt hand This iron works well if you don't want to use the steam function. It’s a good weight. However, use the steam and it becomes dangerous and impossible to handle. It’s ok to start with but then the steam somehow comes up through the handle and burns your hand. It’s painful!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible iron lasted just beyond the 12 months warranty and the problems identified by others appeared - strange sticky patch on baseplate, random temperature variations and then the thermostat failed completely leading to the iron burning the ironing board. This is a terrible iron.
