Enjoy your teas and coffee at their best by using water at the perfect temperature. The Breville Selecta Temperature Select kettle has five heat settings, from 80 to 100°C - just choose which best suits your drink. Making Oolong or green tea? No need to make do with overheated water or wait for boiled water to cool. Countdown illumination shows heating progress and an alert tells you when the right temperature has been reached. After heating, your Selecta Kettle indicates water temperature until it falls below 80°C, reducing the need to reheat.

Amazing product, we love it.
I bought the toaster and kettle set together in June 2021 from Argos. It was a best buy. We love using it especially the settings of the temperature for the kettle as my daughter likes to have 80c for her coffee. Toaster has the settings for the various bread to be warm so amazing buy. I am sad to say that 2 weeks back I pulled the knob of the kettle lid to open and that’s when I broke the knob so we don’t close the lid, just leave it on the top as it’s easier to refill. I wonder if the Breville company can replace it for free. I would love to be treated by them. As I am always buying same brand each time I nut the new set of toaster and kettle this is my 4th set of this brand as I trust it.

Lasted 53 weeks
Bought this kettle 53 weeks ago. However, the knob on the lid has just broken off. This is not a unique problem - see review from “abeck” with exactly the same issue. This is a design flaw from weak materials. Up to today, I loved this kettle; now it is just more landfill. (I guess Greta won’t be happy either.) So unless you like “fast fashion” in your kitchen, may be one to avoid.

Poor build quality for the price
The lid snapped off after less than a year of use. Appently breville think its ok to fix the lid handle with the tinest screw into a flimsy bit of plastic. This is clearly going to fail very quickly and a blatent attempt at engineered redundancy so we might buy another product sooner. No the brightest idea because this brand will be going on my list of brands to avoid going forward!
Would it be too much to put a couple of ££ metal fixing on the one part thats going to be subject to stress???

Great kettle
I got this today and was excited to try it straight away. It’s very easy to use, standard boil water twice before first use and that seemed to work. Very nice and elegant looking looks smart on my side. I like the fact it tells you how long you have left till it has boiled and shows how hot your water is. Will save money for the morning whilst I have 2 coffees as won’t have to reboil. Holds quite a bit of water too. Looking forward to using this.

Broke after 2 years
Another example of this kettle breaking fairly quickly considering its price we'll stop it broke when it was two in a bit years old. Simply stopped turning on. I think it's fair to expect more for my kettle at this price

Malfunctioning after 14 months of light use
I purchased this kettle for £80 via Amazon. I thought that I was buying a quality product and I was happy with it until it started malfunctioning after only 14 months of light use. I contacted Breville, who informed me that they would not replace it and they offered me 30% discount off the price of a replacement. Am I going to throw good money after bad? No, definitely not. I do not recommend this product.

Disappointingly short life
I bought this kettle via Amazon 14 months ago. After working well for the warranty period, it now either refuses to turn on altogether or it stops and shuts down before reaching temperature. There are no obvious leaks or signs of damage, and it has been treated with respect. Breville says go to the retailer as the warranty has expired but Amazon will not refund or replace either at this point.looking through the other reviews it seems I am not alone in having this experience. This was an expensive product that I expected to last a lot longer.

Super stylish and sturdy!
What a super stylish and sturdy steel kettle! It’s one of the products I am proud to own and display on my kitchen counter! The rapid boil action is amazing and the temperature control is very handy especially when it comes to my daughter wanting her hot chocolate not at a boiling point. The music feature is new and tempting and can also be switched off if not needed. The best and new feature is the different heat setting which is quite handy with kids of different ages and requirements. Strong and sturdy,this kettle has impressed me much!

The kettle is well made and is sleek and stylish and look’s perfect in my kitchen. I love the five different temperature levels, it’s the first kettle I’ve had with this feature and it’s great! No more trying to guess a certain temperature. The kettle boils so quickly too!
The lid is easily removed allowing me to fill quickly with no mess. Fab kettle, would highly recommend

Expensive kettle that doesn't last
Bought the breville selecta as it looked stylish and naively thought thd price tag would mean it would last. However just after 12 month and it no longer works.

Not boiling water
I ordered this kettle with high hopes but its not working properly. It only gives luke warm water even on maximum heating that is 100. Hence that slight luke warm can neither be used for making tea nor for coffee. If anybody else faced same issue kindly let me know how to rectify

This is the kettle of my dreams! Seriously. It's perfect in all ways. It looks stunning and stylish and will look perfect in any kitchen. Love the design and the fact I can boil now the water at any temperature as I need. Also can see on the display what temperature water is now so I don't need to heat it again to make a drink. It's quiet enough and boils fairly quickly, showing you progress on the display and how long to wait. This kettle is fabulous in design and features. Our family really loves it!

The lid is flimsy
The kettle was great but the lid is held together by a flimsy screw. And to compound the issue, it is not easy to buy a replacement. So we have to discard a otherwise find kettle.

Nice but disadvantage
I have had this kettle for over a year and had the same problem with lid it came off whilst pulling it and this can't be wear and tear after a year as it was only held with a tiny screw and the only way to open this kettle is to open it from the top when took it back to store even though I had 3years cover they did not exchange for that wear and tear reason which was very disappointing then the product should be stronger or should be replaced straight away

Looks great and works fantastic
This kettle would be a great addition to any kitchen. The brushed metal finish gives it an expensive and classy look. The base is where the temperature control settings are located. A simple soft touch on any temperature springs the kettle into life with subtle lights on the water measure and the base illuminating. Once the kettle has heated the water to your desired temperature, there is an audible jungle to leg you know. This can be turned off if you prefer.
The kettle heats water very quickly. Even when the kettle is placed back on the base it indicates the current temperature, sometimes removing the need to re boil.
The base has some rubber feet to prevent it sliding around and on the bottom of the base is a place to store the excess lead should it be placed close to a plug.
It feels like a very well thought out design. A great product.

Love this
I got this as I’ve started drinking green tea and I know it needs to be a certain temperature for the best results. Being able to just press a button and know it’ll stop when it gets to that is fab. I also like that you can have different temperatures for other drinks too. The little music sound that plays when it’s boiled is really good and I like that it moves down the temperatures bar to show you what it is currently at

Great kettle from Breville!
Very impressive variable temperature selection kettle from Breville. Long gone are the days were we have too hot a coffee, or the opposite by leaving the water to cool for too long. Simply select your ideal temperature on the base and the kettle immediately gets to work. It’s compact and stylish and the lid fits perfects- which is an important feature of a kettle to me! Overall super happy and impressed!

Easy to use
This kettle is very easy to use, it's very quick to heat the water even at the maximum level. It's very easy to set the desired temperature for different drinks. The kettle itself looks very smart and looks good on bench, it doesn't take a lot of space. I really like being able to select the desired temperature for different drinks, I don't think I'll go back to a kettle without this feature.

Great functions
This is such a great and high-quality kettle. It is well-made and sturdy and it has some lovely functions. It saves you time and energy/electricity as it has 5 heat settings and you can choose the temperature you want for your drink so you do not overheat it. There is a sound when the water is ready and it has reached the selected temperature. The kettle is beautifully made and very stylish.

Boils to the right temp
Got this 2 weeks ago and wanted to give it a far chance before reviewing.
First off the only real con/bad point: the cable to plug into a socket is very short only about 30cm (12 inch).
Otherwise love the different boiling temperatures and its surprising they actually do work, you can tell the difference. Great in Cold and flu season where you dont want a tongue burning mug of lemsip

Love how versatile it is
I love this kettle! Not only is it quick to boil but to be able to select a temperature depending on what I am having to drink is great. If the kids want hot chocolate I can set it to the lower temperature so they get their drink without having to wait too long for it to cool. I have used it for various herbal teas as well as regular tea and coffee. Great product

Lovely sleek kettle
I love the design of this kettle it looks so sleek and very easy to work the temperature settings. I’ll admit I probably haven’t made full use of these yet but it’s a lovely added extra especially when you have guests with ‘particular’ requests! Boils nicely perhaps a tiny bit on the noisy side but not deafening and you can follow the lights as it comes to a boil

Very sleek and stylish design. The best thing about this kettle is that you can select temperature for different drinks starting from 80 degrees to 100 degrees. It's also very energy saving and helps to avoid reboiling . Kettle has 360° rotating base and rear window for accurate filling. Fantastic kettle for these days when energy prices rocketing high.

I love this kettle, it is stylish and sleek. Love that it is energy saving and that you can have different temperatures for different drinks. You can boil it at 100 and it tells you what the temperature is when it’s cooling down. The empty kettle function is brilliant as the kids/teens can’t boil an empty kettle and break it as it won’t boil empty.

I think this is without a doubt the best kettle I've ever had. Not only does it look high tech and great on my counter, it's definitely NOT style over substance. The multi-temperature buttons are fantastic for making herbal teas, when you don't want the water too hot. It's easy to use, isn't too loud when boiling and i'm SO impressed.

This kettle not only looks really modern but it's also very easy to use. I particularly like the countdown for the time left to boil. It's quieter than my previous kettle and pours well. The only slight criticism is that I don’t like how you have the take the lid off fully to fill it and would prefer a hinged lid.

Excellent kettle!!! So aesthetic!
Have had mine for 5 years coming now and its brilliant, not too loud, temperature control really works and easy easy to clean.
Only down side is my lid broke off and I need that specific part but unable to buy it anywhere online. Otherwise a perfectly working kettle do don't want to buy a new one.

What a great idea!
Was on the lookout for a new kettle and noticed this so thought I would give it a try.
I mainly got this kettle for the fantastic modern look it has and at first didn't take that much notice of what its really all about, and thats temperature!
The ability to be able to change the temperature cut off on this model is a real game changer when it comes to a multitude of hot beverages, for instance when brewing up a cup of fruit or herbal tea I use to have to either shut the kettle of early or allow it to boil then wait for it to cool so as not to burn the delicate flavours in the tea, but with this I know its going to be just how I want it the second it stops itself. Likewise with coffee, we all know that horrible bitter burnt taste from burnt coffee grounds where the water has been to hot, with this kettle its not a problem.
I absolutely love it! Looks fantastic, feels great in the hand with good pour and of corse the temperature control.

Love this
This kettle is perfect for us. A good size to make cups of tea for all the family. I love the keep warm feature as it really helps when i'm about to make a cuppa but have to rush off. It means i don't have to reboil. The kettle is very sturdy and looks sleek and fancy. Perfect for my kitchen.
