A very Nifty little machine
Having got tired of having lengthy sessions with liquidizers I thought I would try this blender. I am very happy with it. It takes me about 5 mins to make a drink in it from scratch, and wash it up. My only complaint is that its mark showing how far to fill it up, is more or less invisible, can only be felt not seen. Had the mark been made in a colour, it would be very useful. Am thinking of marking it myself with an indelible pen. The really quick way of cleaning it, is to put a drop of washing up liquid in the bottle, followed by warm water up to the invisible mark, then zapping it for 2 seconds, then rinsing out the soap.

5 years and still going strong
Have owned my Blend Active for 5 years now, originally purchased on sale so actually a bargain! I use them to mix up protein smoothie so blending oats, frozen fruit and protein powder which it does with no issues and have used it almost daily for the past three years (periodically before that.) Bottles, blades and lids always go in the dishwasher. The original two bottles/lids are only just looking like they need to be replaced, the lids may well last longer if hand washed as they have just started to show fractures probably due to the heat in the dishwasher. Overall a great little product that has proven it lasts, fingers crossed the new bottles I've ordered are made to the same quality!

Disintegrating item choking hazard
Warning! While making a smoothie for my daughter and I, we were half way through drinking them when my daughter all of a sudden noticed something black in the smoothie.
Shockingly we then pulled out a 1cm size lump of black plastic as seen in the photo attached.
On examining mine, i could see it was full of black dots. We had already consumed half of our fruit smoothies and have been very concerned that we have now consumed plastic.
I have contacted Breville and they replied promptly and asked for photos which I did. They also offered a replacement however that was not my concern!
My biggest concern is that i asked them for what type of plastic it was made from so I could check the toxicity of it, and 1 week on, I still have NOT got a response. This is now a HEALTH HAZARD!

Brevile active blend
I have had this for years and absolutely love it. Sadly I’m moving over to a different make due to the lids not lasting long. Breville do not sell lids separately and with everyday use their lids only last a couple of months. I have had to purchase now, 16 bottles just for the lids and cannot justify this cost anymore. They split at the front then leak when you take a sip. Such a shame as otherwise a great product.

Gears wear very quickly
I genuinely bought 2 of these as it worked out cheeper that purchasing extra bottles. The gears on my green one wore out within 2 weeks of owning it, I moved to using the pink one and the same has happened. Surely this is an issue? How do I get hold of genuine Breville replacement parts to fix them both? The black bits in the photo are gear detritus

It doesn’t work as stated
They proud saying it can crush ice and frozen fruits, but mine got damaged after less than 10 times of use. What a shame. It’s made of a cheap rubber that got all ruined. Definitely not recommend buying this. Bought on 24/may and now 12/6 it’s already ruined.

Very disappointed
We were expecting at least it will work for 6 months but it’s gone within 4 weeks. We were using twice a week max….. it should be strong enough that’s not a toy

The bottles are utter rubbish
Only had mine a couple of months and the catch on both bottles have snapped off. I've been in touch with Breville but unless I provide the receipt or label they won't replace them . Not sure about anyone else, but if I kept the receipts, labels and boxes for everything I'd bought, I'd need another shed to keep them all in.
Breville, it's obviously a duff product, so do the decent thing before a child chokes on a bit of broken plastic and refund, recall or replace with something better.
Would I recommend this to anyone...definitely not, not until they replace the bottles
