Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works but struggle to see the point This toaster does what you would expect. Toasts small pieces of bread with not much filling inside. It does what they advertise but I really struggle to see the benefit of having this machine. I can toast 2 sandwiches in a griddle pan with more filling and not end up with the rock hard edges that the sealing feature causes. I know people who have the deep fill version and it seems to be well used in that scenario. There are no circumstances under which I would want a sandwich this small when I have a grill and hob that I can make a decent sized sandwich with. May just be me but I just can’t see the benefits here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love a toasted sandwich So excited to try the sandwich toaster. Its small and compact with space for two sandwiches. I wouldn't say its "deep" fill but deep enough for a tasty sandwich. I really liked the "temperature ready" indicator on the front. I love the cool touch handle, it was a little tricky to close and keep the toaster securely shut but I soon got the hang of it. Easily wipes clean after use, the only negative for me was the plates do not come out for cleaning so recommend waiting until its completely cooled before attempting to clean the plates.

Pros Nice clean design Neat and compact Visible heating light Non stick Makes 2 toasties at once Cons The only thing to mention here is that the trays to not remove to wash which is a shame. Overall I am very happy with this product and give it my seal of approval, it heats up quickly and cooks evenly. Fits standard sized peices of bread and you are able to cook 2 toasties at once! Makes a lovely sealed toastie you can't beat them! It would be perfect if you could remove the trays to wash as it would make life a lot easier, that being said because its non stick its relatively easy to wipe clean. Once done it's stored away very neatly as it's nice and compact. Would definitely recommend!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes a great toastie but a bit small I've been using a george foreman grill for making toasties but wanted to try something specifically designed for the purpose. Firstly this isn't a modern looking machine it looks quite dated in our kitchen but it does make amazing toasties. You can get lots of filling in and it crisps perfectly! only issue is the size of the plates they are way to small for a standard piece of bread meaning you waste quite a bit cutting bread to size. I found it all easy to clean after as it seems to be all non stick so just used a wipe with no issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small Plus side, heated up and cooked very quickly. Down side, you have to cut off so much of an average size slice of bread to fit the tiny square space. Also, certainly far from my idea of deep fill (thin sliced cheese and a thin slice of ham used,) and then had to really struggle to close the lid down. Why, Breville, are you still not making a toaster fit for the 21st century?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No manual, uncleanable once cheese gets in gaps. Tried to find manual on how to clean properly, no manual. While it does the job I would suggest to everyone to look at the models that have release buttons for plates otherwise you will end up unable to clean it well. It is kind of small too , for UK typical sandwich bread, condenses quite an amount of water at the back even with nothing really moist going in. And as I am trying to scroll up in this textarea I cannot go up, maybe ask bazaarvoice to look on mobile device, I don't get why the area cannot be vertically extendable

Perfect toasty in the compfort of your own home safe to use higly recommend

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty I bought this sandwich toaster , the first one had been used and returned to the shelf which I bought and immediately returned, the second one has tripped the electricity after the 2nd use , a faulty item which allows fat from cheese etc to enter the internal workings ,dangerous and inconvenient.
